I've been playing tennis for about five seasons and can honestly say that Moses lives and breathes tennis more than any other coach I've ever met. He has a very keen eye for noticing what I can do to improve, is not afraid to make suggestions, and makes me want to rise to his expectations. I'm always hoping he is looking the other way when I make an error, but somehow he can track two courts full of players at once. His jovial teasing is an effective way to get us all to listen. I am thankful to have joined his clinics and wish I had started working with Moses years ago. He is a tennis treasure!

I’ve been taking Moses’s clinics for the past few years, and his coaching has truly elevated my game. He has a great way of breaking down strategy, positioning, and shot selection so it all clicks on the court—especially in doubles. Moses brings a perfect balance of professionalism, positivity, and encouragement, making every session both challenging and fun. I’ve learned so much from him and always leave feeling more confident in my play.

Moses is the absolute best tennis instructor and coach that I have ever encountered! My husband (a lifelong player who coached tennis when he was in college) spotted Moses coaching a group of young boys. He told me he'd never seen anyone coach young tennis players as well as Moses—the young kids were all clearly focused, inspired, and learning. At that point, I'd only been playing tennis for about four months, and my husband declared that, based on what he observed, Moses was the best coach he had seen in Marin and that I should try to get into one of his classes. When I began my first class with Moses, I did not know how to serve, my backhand was a mess, and I was clueless about how to move on a doubles court. Within months, Moses worked magic on my serve--I was no longer routinely double-faulting. I've now been taking weekly group classes with Moses for almost three years and, thanks to Moses, my game has greatly improved. Moses is incredibly gifted at teaching, and somehow manages to give each student in his group classes hand-tailored feedback throughout each session. He is also super-skilled at teaching strategy--something that few tennis teachers do. Best of all, he cultivates a fun, supportive, yet serious atmosphere in his classes!

Before I met Moses, I had barely ever hit a tennis ball. His enthusiasm and encouragement were so infectious that I now play on multiple teams. I love learning and playing tennis with Moses. He is a natural teacher, who has amazing technical skills and makes playing tremendously fun. I recommend him to everyone I know, who has any interest in learning or improving at this great game.

I have been working with Moses for 3 years, taking clinics, small group lessons, and private lessons.  He is exceptional at his job, both in his eye for technique and also his outstanding ability to teach strategy and movement. Every lesson is well thought out, with a distinct purpose, and always challenging and fun. I feel incredibly fortunate to have Moses as a coach and cannot recommend him highly enough.

Three years ago, somewhat on a whim, I decided to take tennis lessons with a few friends. We found Moses through a recommendation from an acquaintance. I was new to tennis, playing with a borrowed racquet and wearing leggings and tennis shoes, and never imagining that it would become such a huge part of my life. Moses showed me a great deal of patience, as he does with everyone, and helped to foster my long-term love of the game. Moses has a real passion for tennis and a mastery of how to coach it. He recognizes the importance of every detail in racquet grips, strokes, footwork and so forth. He is a master at differentiating his instruction, listening to and analyzing each individual player's needs. Three years later, I have taken countless lessons and clinics from Moses and have been part of many of his teams. I have the utmost respect for him, both as a coach and as a person.  I am confident that you would consider yourself lucky to call Moses your coach too.

Moses has such a great eye for picking up exactly what you're doing wrong (or right) and then knowing exactly how to work with you to fix it quickly. He keeps you focused, then methodically gets your game to a better place. He's an excellent teacher and has a lot of enthusiasm for tennis, for you and for improving your game. I've been very satisfied with my progress and have recommended Moses to several friends who've taken lessons from him and are happy they did. I think of his words every time I hit a second serve!

Moses is an exceptional tennis coach!  He has an incredible ability to analyze, pinpoint and correct my strokes, serve, volleys, etc. The lessons are always challenging and taught with LOTS of patience and encouragement.

Moses is one those people that you are forever grateful walked into your life. Moses has renewed my tennis enthusiasm.

He has helped me breakdown my game, both technically and mentally.  He is constantly observing and tweaking my play.

Moses is clear, honest and kind in his instruction. He will push you, he will work you hard, and you will get results! Moses is just as excited to see my game improve as I am!

But ultimately through the process he will stress that you must have fun!!

Moses Gittens is a highly-effective tennis instructor and has improved my game significantly. He is adept at identifying his students' strengths and weaknesses and developing a targeted plan for improvement. He keeps both private and group lessons interesting by ensuring no two lessons are ever the same. Moses has a wide array of skill drills and uses real match play to put those skills into practice.
